NaPoWriMo: Day 23

This is the third time I’ve opened this post today! I will NaPo. Decided on a weekly theme of found poetry, basically getting lazy towards the end! So today I’ve done a block out of an article from Now Then reviewing Raqib Shaw’s exhibition.

Here is an edited version of what I’ve taken from the article:

coiled fences keep the world

bursting twisting creeping sight

veins contort and spill like

a lush secret expecting

born of shock

devour time waits

brutal battle from inside

wounding, the angles of her wrists

hands seem to howl, to pour

the glint of a  gaze

bared teeth prepare a huge feast.

…also spent the evening with Charmain handing out Jackie Kay’s novel round West Didsbury for World Book Night. Managed to fit beer and cake into the general book giving schedule:

Happy World Book Night 2013
